The 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines Association is a non-profit, all volunteer fraternal organization which personifies the old saying “Once a Marine, always a Marine.” Our motto is “Fellowship and Loyalty.” Our purpose is to bring together the knowledge and experiences of Marines past and present, young and old and to benefit the Marines and family members of 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines when necessary. 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines is a Marine Corps Reserve infantry unit headquartered in Garden City NY. Since its inception in1943, the unit has answered the call in “every clime and place” from Pacific beaches in WWII, to desert sands in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and most recently in Iraq. Acting as an extended family to the Marines of 2/25, the 2/25 Association will now answer the call.
On Monday May 5, 2008 the 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines Association will be hosting its 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Eisenhower Park Golf course in Garden City, Long Island, NY. As a fundraiser, golf outing donations will assist the 2/25 Association in reaching our goals. Proceeds will provide comfort for families in need while their Marine is in harms way and provide care packages for Marines forward deployed. In the event that one of our Marines is wounded or does not come home, we would like to raise enough funds to provide what comfort we can to that Marine or his surviving family. We all pray that the money will not be used for that. In that case, all surplus funds will eventually provide scholarships for children of Marines who qualify. The generosity of people like you will make our goals attainable. Any support that you can provide us would be greatly appreciated.
We have several sponsorship opportunities available. You can also donate merchandise or even gift certificates to be raffled at the golf outing.
